Directions & Rules
Escondido Canyon Natural Area is located in the city of
Malibu, just one mile from Pacific Coast Highway at Winding
Way. There is a hiking, equestrian, and mountain bike trail
that leads to an awe-inspiring 150 foot limestone
waterfall--the highest in the Santa Monica Mountains. Thomas

Directions: From the East, take the Santa Monica Freeway
(10) west until it becomes the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).
Continue west on PCH to Winding Way. Turn right (north) on
Winding Way and enter the parking lot.
From the San Fernando Valley, take the Ventura Freeway
(101) west, exit at Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon Road. Head
south on Las Virgenes which turns into Malibu Canyon Road.
Drive until you reach PCH and turn right (west). Continue
westbound on PCH to Winding Way. Turn right (north) on
Winding Way and enter the parking lot.
